For those planning for a weekend getaway, here are my Top 10 Things to Do in Tagaytay City:

1. Visit the People's Park in the Sky

2. Check out the animals at Paradizoo.

3. Try out a Mushroomburger.


4. Ride a pony at Picnic Grove or Sky Ranch.

5. Attend mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church.

6. Go on a Marian Pilgrimage at Tierra de Maria.

7. Have a picnic at Tagaytay Picnic Grove.

8. Spend a night at Escala Tagaytay and don't forget to take a dip at its picturesque pool.


9. Have a sip of coffee or try out the buffet breakfast at Bag of Beans.


10. Ride the Sky Eye or zip line at Sky Ranch Tagaytay.

    Tagaytay Ciry looks like a great getaway from the the capital. I would definitely love to take a dip in that infinity pool. And the picnic with a view is definitely a must.

      Tagaytay City is just a few hours drive away from Manila. It sure is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila.

    I'm OBSESSED with Bag of Beans! Whenever I go to Tagaytay I'd make sure to drop by Bag of Beans (the branch with colorful umbrellas) just to buy raisin bread! Thanks for the tips! <3

Located in 8 Daibutsu-cho Gifu City in Gifu Prefecture, Shoboji ( 正法寺 )  is known as the temple which houses one of the three largest Daibutsu or Great Buddha statues in Japan . On August 12, 2022 , during my 41st week in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme , my family and I had the pleasure of visiting Embetsu Shrine for the first time as part of our five-day "Drive Up North" Road Trip . Later, on December 22, 2022 , I had the opportunity to revisit the shrine. What made this return visit particularly special was experiencing it during the winter season.
