Weekend 68: February 18 – 19, 2023 Day 474: February 18, 2023 Saturday – Rest Day The days are gradually warming up, bringing with them a sense of renewal and vitality. Today unfolded as a calm respite from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. With the sun casting its gentle rays through the windows, we chose to stay indoors, dedicating the day to rest and tackling the various chores that had accumulated over time. Tokiwa Park Revisited 2023 I visited and explored Tokiwa Park   during my Asahikawa day trip last November 21, 2021 (Sunday). It was my 3rd weekend here in Hokkaido Prefecture and also my 20th day here as an ALT under the JET Programme . I had the chance to revisit the shrine on February 11, 2023 , while attending the 2023 Asahikawa Winter Festival with the Tomamae Gang. Week 67: February 6 – 10, 2023 Day 462: February 6, 2023 Monday – Rumoi Rumoi High School 2.6.23 It’s a beautiful Monday morning. Today, I’m back at Rumoi High School for work. Since the 3rd year classes that I usually work with are already finished for this school year, I have plenty of time to study Japanese. As a matter of fact, I started the Intermediate Course of the Visual Learning Japanese (VLJ) online course. Located in Rosario in the province of Cavite, Casa Hacienda de Tejeros is famously known as the location of the historic Tejeros Convention of 1897. The hacienda and its surrounding lands were formerly owned by the Augustinian Recollects. The estate was once the largest and grandest estate in the country. Japan is undeniably a collector's paradise. As a matter of fact, there are a plethora of different things to collect here that are catered to every collector's unique taste and preference.  Anime fans have their usual toys, mangas, and memorabilia. Pokemon fans have numerous Pokemon Centers that sell an assortment of Pokemon merchandise. Kitkat collectors have more than 300 flavors of Kitkat to try out. Kamikawa Shrine Revisited 2023 I visited Kamikawa Shrine during my solo Asahikawa day trip on November 21, 2021 , which was my third weekend in Hokkaido Prefecture. It also marked my 20th day in  Japan  as  an ALT under the JET Programme . During the visit, I made sure to collect Kamikawa Shrine's goshuin for my collection. Week 69: February 20 – 24, 2023 Day 476: February 20, 2023 Monday – Rumoi Rumoi High School 2.20.2023 It’s a cold snowy Monday morning. Regardless, nothing beats warm cocoa to start the day. As for my work, I’m reporting back to Rumoi High School .
