Speaking about the Kuchu Teien Observatory offers visitors a 360-degree view of Osaka City, particularly the Umeda District. This place is also one of the best places in the city to view the sunset.
Aside from the Kuchu Teien Observatory, Umeda Sky Building also houses the Takimi Koji Gourmet Street located on its B1 floor. This dining district is a recreation of 1910-1920 Japan. It's a perfect day-ender destination after visiting the Kuchu Teien Observatory.

The Backpack Adventures visits Umeda Sky Building |
I got to visit Umeda Sky Building for the first time during my solo backpacking trip to Kyoto and Osaka last January 14, 2022, which happens to be my 74th day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. Umeda Sky Building was actually my last destination for the day. I made sure to arrive before sunset so that I can watch it and also take a video of Osaka's magnificent sunset. I managed to do this of course by going up to the Kuchu Teien Observatory. After enjoying the view and wrapping up my stay, I ate okonomiyaki for dinner at Kiji which is located at Takimi Koji in the basement of the Umeda Sky Building.
