88 Hotspring Resort and Spa - Laguna

Updated: October 30, 2020

Our adventure today will take us 46.11 kilometers south from kilometer 0 in Manila. The historic atmosphere still lingers due to the historical landmarks that you can see all around this place. One of the most famous landmarks this city has to offer is the Rizal Shine or more popularly known as Rizal's house. However I'm not here to give you a history adventure but instead, I will tell you the different side of this city.

88 Hotspring Resort and Spa

Calamba City
in the province of Laguna is a city that has more resorts than the number of days in a year. Because of the fast-growing number of resorts (661 and counting), this city earned the nickname Resort Capital of the Philippines.

Travelers and resort seekers who didn't read my blog The Adventurer's List would surely be unprepared for what's to come. It would surely take a day for you to choose and pick the most suitable resort for you, not to mention avoiding peddlers who would tell you about a "nice" resort only to be disappointed in the end when you see the resort with your own eyes.

Sunbathing or a dip in the hot spring would be nice for your health. (don't overdo it though!)

Having been to Calamba City and experiencing the same disappointments a couple of times made me a wiser man. Hence, I learned to trust my instincts and Google.

Night time is best for taking a dip in one of their hot spring pools. The warm water vs the cold weather? Great!

Last 2011 my wife and I stumbled upon a very magnificent resort (according to Google.)
88 Hotspring Resort and Spa proved to be a real deal and not just a marketing hullabaloo created on the internet.

    2. thanks a lot!! anu ung allowed n swimming attire? white shirt pwede? sa mga cousins n conservative.. hehehe ;)

    3. Hello again JC. Well kung wala namang abs na ipapakita then it's better na mag shirt nalang. LOL

Kidding aside, it's better if you dish out the shirts. Lahat ng pool nila mainit. Keep in mind shirts absorb water. Kung mainit yung tubig lapnos balat mo.

    Kevin here!

Summer ngayon tapos hotsprings ang trip niyo. Pero gaya nga ng sabi nila kanya kanyang trip lang yan. Kayo go!

  62. Hi neil.. This blog is very helpful.ive back read the
question and u really took time to answer. Thanks much! Im confused though with the overnight stay. Check in is 1:30,check out is 11:00am the following day requires room to stay right? And if im going to take the standard room for us, hubby and daughter, the rate of the room covers the entrance fee for the three of us. Am i correct?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi there. Yes the overnight stay starts 1:30PM and you can check out 11AM the next day.
If you avail of any room it automatically covers the entrance fees. =)
      Hope that helps.

  70. Hello your blog is really helpful, and thank you for answering all the queries of the people. But I'm confused regarding overnight stay, you said that it starts at 7:30pm onwards... but what about the check in time (1:30pm?) and check out time (11am?). I mean, if ever we opt to rent the small kubo (P2500) so the P2500 will cover our whole stay there from 1:30pm to 11 am? Or do we still have to pay the entrance fee P500? I just want to clarify things, para less hassle when we arrive there. Thank you in adv.! :)

    1. It's 1:30PM Check in time - 11:00AM the next day. If you rent a kubo it means you're going to stay for the night (no need for the entrance fee pang day tour lang yun. Hope that helps my friend,

You're so patient and humorous pa rin :) i know this is a first but would you know if they allow pets (a small dog in our case) for the day tour? Also is it PWD friendly? We plan to go there with my Mom kasi. She needs a place to nap in kahit paano during the day po sana. Again, thank you and best regards :)

    1. Hi Martina! I'm sorry but 88 is not a pet friendly place. Your small dog might get lost in the spacious area of the resort. Plus it might fall in one of the hot springs. The resort is PWD friendly though. There are plenty of places for your mom to stay. =)

    1. Hi there Levie! Thanks for leaving a comment.
The standard room is good only for 2 pax. I doubt that they would allow all of you to stay in one room. They might suggest that you guys rent another standard room then probably charge you 200 for an extra mattress. =) Hope that helps
