Small Lagoon - El Nido, Palawan |
Upon availing of the tour, your boat will bring you to an area near the entrance of Small Lagoon. From there, you may opt to kayak or swim going to the said lagoon. You will know that you reached the lagoon once you masterfully maneuvered your kayak or swam through the gap between the two giant limestones that serve as its gate.

Magnificent view of Small Lagoon |
Once inside, you will be rewarded with a majestic view of towering rocks, teal-colored waters, and also the multitude of sea creatures that call the lagoon their home. If you came in by kayak, you may want to explore every nook and cranny of Small Lagoon first before leaving. Each corner has its own charm as visitors would say. there is even this small cave-like area where the water is much colder. I particularly liked the area of the lagoon that I refer to as "The Room".

Paddling inside Small Lagoon |
To reach it, you can kayak or swim heading to the left side of the lagoon from its limestone entrance. "The Room" is surrounded by tall craggy rocks with trees protruding on them giving shade to its visitors. "The Room" itself could be called "Smaller Lagoon" because of its small size compared to the main area of Small Lagoon. Crabs, small and medium-sized fish are usually found in the said area. Not to worry though, there are still no reported sightings of sharks in the lagoon.

Don't overstay though because there are other wonderful destinations yet to be explored in Tour A. I got to visit Small Lagoon with my family during the 3rd day of our 2016 Palawan Trip.
