Shercon Resort and Ecology Park - Batangas

Located in Mataas na Kahoy in the province of Batangas, Shercon Resort and Ecology Park is fast becoming a popular destination for those who are escaping the hustle and bustle of the Metro.

Shercon Resort and Ecology Park Details

Shercon Resort and Ecology Park's location in the highlands of Batangas offers visitors a picturesque panoramic view of Tagaytay and Taal Lake. This serves as a perfect backdrop for selfies and weddings.

Welcome to Shercon Resort and Ecology Park

What's great about this resort is its affordability. Its P250 entrance fee for adults and P150 for kids 4-7 years old combined with the scenic beauty of the place gives other resorts in Batangas a run for their money. One can also rent cottages ranging from P800 - P2000. You can check these out in the RATES section of this article.

Visitors may also choose to stay overnight. This is highly recommended if you want to see and take photos of the dramatic sunset. I also suggest this one for those who are really looking for relaxation and rest. There are suites, dorms, and cabins available for rental. These range from P4000 - P5000. You can check these out in the RATES section of this article.

Taal Lake as seen from Shercon Resort and Ecology Park

It's not only the view and affordability that makes Shercon Resort and Ecology Park great, the resort's fame actually came from its pools- the 11 Pocket Pools to be exact. Combined with the amphitheater, the 11 Pocket Pools create a beautiful landscape photograph.

Be careful... the Minotaur is hiding somewhere in there

Zipline yeah!

Shercon Ecology Resort and Ecology Park are not only for relaxation. It is also a perfect place for team buildings and barkada bondings. There is a zipline, hanging bridge, and maze to keep each of you occupied and challenged.

If you're planning to visit here are some tips that you might want to consider:

  1. Book in advance. The resort is usually fully booked during the weekends and sometimes even the weekdays.
  2. Bring your own food. You can cook in the resort, so bring your rice cooker and portable electric cookers.
  3. You may choose to buy fresh ingredients in the market of the town of Balete or Mataas na Kahoy before heading to the resort.
  4. Wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Expect plenty of walking in the resort if you really want to see each part of it.
  5. Bring plenty of water.

I got to visit Shercon Resort and Ecology Park when my wife and I decided to celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday there. It was only a less than 2-hour drive from our house in Cavite. Overall, it was an enjoyable trip for us. My daughter surely enjoyed the day-long swim in its numerous pools. Sadly, we only had a day tour. If I was given a chance I'd try the overnight package to maximize my stay there.

The vicinity map of the resort

Things to consider:

  1.  If you're staying in the Kubo and Japanese Kubo, the toilet rooms are quite far from you.
  2.  If you're not a fan of walking then this place is not for you.
  3. The pocket pools are Instagram worthy but the crowd there would give you a hard time taking that Instagram-worthy shot.
  4. Children should be supervised at all times even at Sophia's Duck as the pool and its surrounding vicinity are most likely slippery.
  5. Reserve first before heading to the resort. It will save you time and effort.

Why stay at Shercon Resort and Ecology Park?

Shercon Resort and Ecology Park are probably one of the most famous resorts in Mataas na Kahoy. What's great about the resort is despite its fame, it remains to be quite affordable. There are also plenty of things to do in the resort aside from swimming in its pools so it's also a perfect place to conduct team-building activities.

Getting to Shercon Resort and Ecology Park:

    If you're commuting:

From the bus terminal near Buendia-LRT Station, ride a DLTB or Jam Liner going to Lipa City, Batangas. Travel time is about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Fare is about 125 -140 pesos.
Tell the conductor to drop you off at Lipa town proper. From there ride a jeepney going to Mataas na Kahoy. Fare is P13-20. Tell the driver to drop you off at 711. From there ride a tricycle to the resort.

    1. Good day! You are allowed access to all pools. However, just a heads up the pools are quite far from each other hence you should book a room near the pool of your preference.
