Heritage Resort of Caoayan - Ilocos Sur

Located at Anonang Mayor corner Don Lorenzo Quirubin in the town of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Heritage Resort of Caoayan is a five-hectare family resort that is perfectly located a few kilometers away from the historical city of Vigan.

Heritage Resort of Caoayan offers visitors budget-friendly accommodations and its geographical closeness to Vigan City. Aside from that, visitors with time to spare can also take a dip in its pools or just relax in its farm-like atmosphere. What I like about the resort is its large rooms. Apart from being wallet-friendly, it could also fit a family of 10 (given that four of them are children). Speaking of large space, the resort also has a large parking space suited for those family road trip convoys. In connection to that, it is also good to know that the resort also has a large pavilion that can be used for weddings, debuts, or birthdays.

However, there are also several things visitors might not like about the resort (which hopefully the management could improve on it someday). Like, the foul odor emanating from the broken drainage system near the parking area. Aside from that, the toilets in each room should have a bidet installed in them and the management should make sure that the showers are all working properly. On a side note, it is also good to know that this resort is located beside the Caoayan Municipal Cemetery (don't worry zombies and ghosts aren't real... maybe...)

Overall, if you are planning to visit Vigan City during the peak season (summer months or holidays), the Heritage Resort of Caoayan is a good place to check in. It is also a great place to stay if you are on a tight budget. Speaking of budget, here are the rates as of 2017:

Why stay at the Heritage Resort of Caoayan? 

If you're looking for a place to stay near Vigan City, then the Heritage Resort of Caoayan might be a good choice for you. It's quite affordable and has a pool too. Make sure to call ahead during the months of April - July though as the hotel might be fully booked due to the high influx of tourists.

From Cubao, ride a bus heading to Vigan City. Once there, ride a tricycle and tell the driver to bring you to Heritage Resort of Caoayan.

    The rooms are definitely large and specious. And the pool also looks quiet clean. I can see the kid having a wonderful time. If mine were to head here, she would never want to get out of water. Overal, ilocos sur heritage resort definitely looks like worth a stay

    It looks like a hidden gem... You made me google for Vigan City. 😀😀. It should be helpful having the prices also in euros or dollars so that we don't need to see the rates always ✌🏻️

      Thanks for the tips. =) However, dollar/ euro exchange rate usually change daily so it's kind of hard to track down the difference daily. =)

    well i think the plus side would be the quiet surroundings and the greenery with space but yea bathrooms need to be top grade , no two ways about it especially

Agusan Del Sur: Bunawan Ecopark and Wildlife Reservation Center

Found in Barangay Consuelo, Bunawan in the province of Agusan Del Sur, Bunawan Ecopark and Wildlife Reservation Center became famous for its world known centerpiece exhibit. Bunawan arc That exhibit is named Lolong , the world's longest salt water crocodile ever caught. Lolong was captured in Bunawan Creek, a part of the vast Agusan Marsh on September 3, 2011.
