Laiya Beach
Perfect view

I got to stay at Kabayan Beach Resort with my family last March 2018. We enjoyed the ambiance and clean beachfront of the resort. We also loved the rustic feel of our spacious room (we stayed in the Dona Aurora). However, visitors looking for pristine sea waters might be turned off by the murky waters of this part of Tayabas Bay. Aside from that, the sand (?) underwater feels like mud, and walking on it makes one feel that he/ she is stepping on dog poop.

Why visit or stay at Kabayan Beach Resort?

Overall, I would still highly recommend this place for those with tight budgets, large groups, and adventure seekers. Although this place is not the cheapest among the resorts in Laiya, it has amenities and facilities that match those of the more expensive resorts of San Juan, Batangas.

Getting to Kabayan Beach Resort:

From Manila, ride a bus going to Lipa City. From there, ride a van or jeepney to San Juan town proper. Once you reach the Poblacion, look for jeepneys heading to Laiya. Kabayan Beach Resort is right after the Playa Laiya Residential area.
