Kyoto Tower - Kyoto

Located at 72101 Higashishiokoji-cho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City in Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto Tower (京都タワー) is a unique looking observation tower in front of Kyoto Station. It also serves as one of the landmarks of the city.

Built and completed in 1964, Kyoto Tower stands as one of the tallest structures in Kyoto City. Hence, it is one of the best places to visit if you want to view the city and the nearby mountains around it.

Aside from giving visitors an amazing panoramic view of the city. Visitors can also use the free-mounted binoculars to see more clearly particular spots or things that interest them. There are also touchscreen panels inside the Kyoto Tower Observation Deck that show different destinations to see in a particular direction. It comes complete with basic information about the said places.

Team Nicerio visits Kyoto Tower

I got to finally visit Kyoto Tower with my family on the 4th day of our 2019 Japan trip. I have passed by this futuristic-looking tower several times during my 2014 and 2018 visit but never got the chance to go up to its observation deck. Kyoto Tower was actually one of the last destinations that we visited on that day as we followed a tip from one of the Facebook travel pages that I follow. According to the said page, the best time to go up the observation deck was a little before sunset so that one can catch a glimpse of Kyoto's amazing sunset and followed by the beautiful nighttime view of the city.

Sadly, during our visit, we failed to see both as it suddenly rained and the rained clouds covered the coveted sunset event. Regardless, I still got to meet Tawawachan - Kyoto Tower's mascot and we also got to avail of that pricey souvenir family photo as well. 

Kyoto Tower Admission Fee:

To enter Kyoto Tower's Observation Deck, visitors need to pay 770 yen per person admission fee.

Kyoto Tower Opening and Closing Hours:

Kyoto Tower is open from 9AM - 9PM daily.

Why visit Kyoto Tower?

Overall, if you're planning to visit Kyoto City make sure to include Kyoto Tower in your itinerary. It's a place to view the city and its surrounding hills and mountains. Visit in the afternoon to catch an awesome view of the sunset. To save some cash, buy your tickets from Klook when your currency is stronger than the Japanese Yen.

From Kyoto Station, exit at the Karasuma (north) gate and cross the street. Go inside the Kyoto Tower Hotel and pay the entrance fee at the booth before riding the elevator up the observation deck.

Located in Rosario in the province of Cavite, Casa Hacienda de Tejeros is famously known as the location of the historic Tejeros Convention of 1897. Agusan Del Sur: Bunawan Ecopark and Wildlife Reservation Center

Found in Barangay Consuelo, Bunawan in the province of Agusan Del Sur, Bunawan Ecopark and Wildlife Reservation Center became famous for its world known centerpiece exhibit.
