Located on the northwestern side of Boracay Island, Diniwid Beach is a serene, white-sand beach that is as scenic as Boracay's world-famous White Beach.

Diniwid Beach Details
Diniwid Beach is a perfect escape from the touristy White Beach. It's definitely quieter, less commercial, and at times cleaner than Station 1-3 of White Beach. Despite having a smaller beachfront than White Beach, it is still equally relaxing to stroll in Diniwid Beach. It's also a perfect place to watch the sunset. If you're looking for some drinks, there are some bars here worth checking out.

Aside from what I have already mentioned, what I like about Diniwid Beach is its accessibility from White Beach, making an easy escape from the crowd possible. As a matter of fact, you can reach it by walking northwards from Station 1. At the far end of White Beach, you'll see Lambros Point which has a pathway that passes through a cliffside trail. It's perfectly safe to pass through as there is a guide rope that you can hold onto. From the cliffside trail of Lambros Point, Diniwid Beach is only a few meters away.

I got to visit Diniwid Beach for the first time during the third day of our Boracay Island trip to celebrate my daughter's birthday last February 2020. It was also our last travel outside Luzon that year since there were "rumors" of COVID 19 transmissions in the Philippines during those times but there were no official travel bans yet. Because of that, many canceled their trip to Boracay which made the beachside unbelievably less crowded and at times even surreally "deserted". So, if White Beach is virtually empty at times, I got the chance to have Diniwid Beach for myself.

Diniwid Beach Entrance Fee:
It's FREE to visit and explore Diniwid Beach if you are already on Boracay Island. However, visitors need to pay an environmental fee of 300 pesos for non-Aklanon tourists and 150 pesos for those living in the province of Aklan to enter Boracay Island. Aside from that, make sure to bring cash just in case you want to grab a drink in one of the nearby bars.
Why visit Diniwid Beach?
Diniwid Beach is a must-visit if you wish to escape the highly commercialized White Beach. Try watching the sunset here while drinking an ice-cold beer which probably is one of the best things to do here.
Getting to Diniwid Beach
There are flights directly to the airports in Caticlan or Kalibo from Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Caticlan:
From Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, most famously called Caticlan Airport, walk to the tricycle terminal and ride a tricycle to Caticlan Jetty Port. From there, ride a jetty to Boracay Island. Once on the island, ride another tricycle to Diniwid Beach.
If you're checked in to any hotel near White Beach, you can simply walk going to Diniwid Beach.
Travel time:
Caticlan Airport -Jetty Port: 10 minutes (75PHp solo; 50PHp pax for 2)
Jetty Port - Boracay Island: (75PHp Environmental Fee + 100PHp Terminal Fee+ 30PHp boat fare)
Boracay Island tricycle: (150PHp fare for locals and 200PHp fare for foreigners)
Kalibo:
From Kalibo International Airport, ride a van heading to Caticlan Jetty Port. From there, ride a jetty to Boracay Island. Once on the island, ride another tricycle to Diniwid Beach.
If you're checked in to any hotel near White Beach, you can simply walk going to Diniwid Beach.
Travel time:
Kalibo International Airport -Jetty Port: 2 hours (200PHp)
Jetty Port - Boracay Island: (75PHp Environmental Fee + 100PHp Terminal Fee+ 30PHp boat fare)
Boracay Island tricycle: (150PHp fare for locals and 200PHp fare for foreigners)
