Singapore x Google 2019: Day 5 & 6 |
Good morning from Singapore! Today is officially the last day of activities in Google HQ Singapore.

Kaya Toast with egg and coffee at Toast Box |
For a change, I skipped breakfast at Taste in Ibis Hotel at Bencoolen and went out to eat breakfast at Toast Box along the corner of Bras Basah Road and Bencoolen Street. Since it's not the usual buffet breakfast, I ordered a Kaya Toast with egg and coffee, something which my friends recommended me to try.

Thank you Steven for giving me a whole new reason to blog. |
From Toast Box, I then proceeded to Google HQ in Mapletree Business City. For today's round of talks and activities, I found the Innovator Energizer particularly interesting. In my free time, I toured Google HQ with Jim Copeland who'd a Googler based in the US. We went to explore and check different parts of the building including the Secret Room at L7 80 and the garden at L9 80. We also raided the numerous minibars along the way in search of a particular protein bar that he fancies. Exploring Google HQ Singapore with Jim Copeland

2019 Google Innovators |
Since this was the final day of the Innovator Program, the participants of the program were treated to what I dub as the final bonding activity at Holey Moley at Clark Quay. This mini-golf bar brought out the competitive nature of the participants. Regardless, the participants really did have tons of fun and happy memories here that they'd bring back to their countries.Holey Moley Bonding Activity

Overall, this was an awesome day of learning and bonding with friends. It's kinda bittersweet for me as I still wanted to bond with my newfound friends and explore more of Singapore but then again, I am also very excited to see my wife and daughter again. So there it is, good night Singapore!
Day 6: September 15
Today is my last day here in Singapore. There's nothing lined up for me today as my flight is at noon. However, before checking out, I made sure to avail myself of the buffet breakfast of Taste one last time.

Boarding Singapore Airlines SQ912 |
|
What should I watch during this flight? Hmmm... Any suggestions? |
After the hearty meal, I headed to Changi International Airport together with my QSR family. Our noon flight aboard Singapore Airlines SQ912 was on time, comfy, and overall amazing. It was a perfect way to end my 6-day Singapore x Google 2019 adventure.
