The Glampbox - Quezon

Located in Barangay Kalilayan Ilaya, Unisan in the province of Quezon, The Glampbox is a  beach resort along Malatandang Beach offering the unique glamping experience.

The Glampbox Details

Construction of The Glampbox started sometime in 2019. It was opened to the public on September of the same year. The number of guests grew as they continue to promote the place using social media platforms. Since the FB page of The Glampbox is very active in social media, I sent them a message asking about the history and their mission.

When I asked about the history of The Glampbox, their official FB page responded:
" It started with the idea of building a small beach with a unique setup. The owner decided to make a concept out of something that had been his hobby for years - outdoor camping and videography. He started building the idea with the help of his family and his partner."
They also added:
" Our mission is to promote the tourism of Malatandang Beach and make it sustainable, especially to the community of Unisan. In this simple way the owner and staff are committed to giving quality service and enjoyable experience."
True enough, we did have an enjoyable experience when we booked here last June 20-21 during our Unisan Beach Getaway to celebrate Father's Day 2021. It was my cousin Eloi who discovered and booked the resort for us.

Since this was still during the pandemic there were documents for us to apply for the barangay clearance and health certificates that were required for us to enter Barangay Kalilayan Ilaya. Thankfully, the staff of The Glampbox was active in communicating and was very accommodating. They promptly provided us with the necessary documents that were needed for our requirements.

We were also informed that they don't charge corkage fees since they did not offer food or drinks. Of course, that was a good thing for us as we were able to bring cases of our favorite drink - "high-grade coffee"

Overall, our stay in The Glampbox was enjoyable and fun. It is strategically located along the scenic Malatandang Beach, making it a big plus for us especially the kids who love to swim and make sandcastles.

The only thing that I wish the management could do to improve the resort is to have a cemented parking area and also a wider paved road going to the resort.

Regardless, because it is situated in Malatandang Beach, The Glampbox remains to be one of the best places to stay when you want to do a weekend beach getaway in Malatandang Beach in Unisan, Quezon.
