Japan Diaries 4: Weekend 19
Weekend 19: March 12-13, 2022
Day 131: March 12, 2022
Saturday - Grocery Day
The sound of water dripping woke me up today. Thinking that there was a leak somewhere, I hurriedly got up and inspected the bedroom and living room only to find out that the sound was actually coming from the melting snow dripping on my metal railing.
Since I am already up, I started to do my laundry and prepare breakfast. After breakfast, I worked on my business plan for my Master's Degree.
That afternoon, to change the scenery, I headed out and went to COOP to buy groceries. I got the usual meat, eggs, and milk but I was astonished to find different flavors of KitKat. I wasn't able to control myself so I purchased all four flavors available. I got the Mont Blanc, Peach, Matcha Latte, and Banana Caramel.
When I got back home, I unpacked the groceries, took photos of the Kitkat with its unique packaging, and had a bit of rest. I woke up a few hours later and had a lengthy chat with my wife. Before calling it a day, I wrote some more pages for my business plan. Hopefully, I can finish it in a month or two so that I can already graduate and earn my Master's Degree.
Day 132: March 13, 2022
Sunday - Walking around Rumoi City
Good morning everyone, it's a beautiful sunny day today. With the melting snow yesterday and the clear sunny day today. I felt winter is almost over and spring is just around the corner.
I didn't waste time of course. I went out and walked around the city. Here are some of my stops:
On my way back home, I tried looking for a restaurant to try out in the future. I did see some like the Fisherman's Shop Tomimaru and Araiso Sushi.
I crossed the covered overpass along Route 231 to go to Golden Beach Rumoi |
The downhill path going to the beach |
Overall, today's walk was time and energy well spent. I probably walked about 10 kilometers today which definitely burned some calories.
Come to think of it, I'm really looking forward to spring as I can bike around the city again.
Well, see you, next week guys!
Wow! Those KitKat flavors really looks tempting to buy. We only have a red one in our country.
ReplyDeleteYou should buy the unique flavors when you see one. Sometimes, they taste weird but sometimes they are super delish!
