I posted only a handful of photos of the exhibits and I purposely didn't label them so that you would only get a glimpse of what the Moseushi Town Folk Museum has to offer. Please visit it and enjoy it with your own eyes.

My family and I went to the Moseushi Town Folk Museum for the first time on August 6, 2022, my 278th day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. Because the doors were shut when we arrived, I assumed the museum was closed. Fortunately, there was a message instructing people who wished to visit to go to the administrative office in the building adjacent to the museum and ask the person in charge to open the museum for them. We were fortunate that the person in charge was at the office when I arrived.

However, keep in mind that it`s open to the public only on August 14-16 during the Obon Period. If you are visiting on a different date, you need to go to the administrative office located inside the Moseushi Chomin Hall beside the museum. You should look for the person in charge and he would be kind enough to open the museum for you and you could do a solo tour of the museum. This is how we got into the museum.
