10 Things to Do in Urausu Urausu ( 浦臼町 ) is a town in the Sorachi Subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan . The town got its name from the Ainu word uray-us-pet which is the name of the Urausuuchi River that runs through the town. 10 Things to Do in Naie Naie ( 奈井江町 ) is a town in the Sorachi Subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan . The name Naie comes from Naie River which flows through the town. According to Shuzo Yamada, a researcher of the Ainu language, the name could have been derived from “ naye ” or “ nay ” which simply means “river” in the Ainu language. Naie Shrine ( 奈井江神社 ) is the main shrine of the town of Naie. It is located at 103-2, Naie in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan . Naie Shrine   Naie Shrine details Founded in 1892 by Munenori Shimizu , a Saitama immigrant, the shrine stands as a testament to the deep connection with his hometown's guardian deity, Hirose Okami .
