One of the highlights of Elm Highland Resort is the day-trip hot spring facility Yuttari also called Elm Highland Onsen, which is a perfect spot to relax and soak in the hot spring waters. You can also stay overnight at the resort, with camping and cottage options available. Camping enthusiasts can avail of the park-type campsite, which is perfect for camping with family and friends. You can set up your tent wherever you like and enjoy the outdoors in all its glory. If you don’t own a tent, you can still enjoy camping by renting a package for just 6,000 yen per night.
For those who prefer a more comfortable stay, Cottage "Niji no Sanso" is a great option. The multi-purpose cottage can accommodate groups such as families and friends, with various electrical appliances available indoors and barbecue facilities available outdoors. The cottage offers bedding for 6 or 8 people, with options to accommodate bigger groups by reserving rental futons for additional people.

Last September 10, 2022, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting Elm Highland Resort as part of our September 9-11 Road Trip. As an ALT under the JET Programme, it was my 313th day in Japan, and visiting this magnificent camping site made it unforgettable. Elm Highland Resort has easily become our favorite camping location, and the reason for that is its stunning scenic grounds. The campsite is adorned with numerous art installations that blend perfectly with the natural beauty surrounding it. The best way to reach Elm Highland Resort is by private vehicle but if you plan to use public transportation, this is probably the cheapest option:
From Takikawa City's Takikawa Station, make your way to the Takikawa Eki Mae bus stop. Catch the Takiashi Sen bus operated by Hokkaido Chuo Bus. Disembark at the Elm Kogen Onsen Irikuchi bus stop and follow the 2-kilometer road going to Elm Highland Resort.
