Weekend 48: October 1-2, 2022

Day 334: October 1, 2022

Saturday – Quarantine Day 1

The weather is beautiful today. Sadly, my family is in quarantine after Ella tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully, the virus my daughter contracted was probably the weakest one as she developed no symptoms and was still her energetic self.

It's a beautiful sunny day

To keep ourselves busy, we spent our time doing tasks. Ella practiced here Japanese, my wife cooked ginataang mais, and I worked on my blog articles.

We watched The Matrix Resurrections on Netflix during our downtime. Despite being a huge fan of The Matrix trilogy, I didn't enjoy this new installment as much as I loved the previous three. I couldn't complete it since I fell asleep halfway through it. Regardless, I'll continue tomorrow; perhaps my first impression will change.

Day 335: October 2, 2022

Sunday – Quarantine Day 2

It’s another beautiful morning. It’s 2/7 of our home quarantine.

Today, my wife made mashed potatoes and I made our favorite chili garlic oil using the ingredients that we bought from the roadside stations that we visited last road trip.

After lunch, I finished The Matrix Resurrections but my impressions remained unchanged. That night, I spent time on my blog and was able to finish several articles for future publication.

We also made chili garlic which is our favorite add-on to any soup

Overall, we might not be able to travel this weekend but we were able to rest and do the tasks we needed. In a way, this quarantine is a blessing for us as we get 7 days of rest.
