Heads up, although it does not have a nearby onsen like most of the camping sites that we stayed at, there is a coin-operated shower near the campsite. It also has a coin laundry.

My family and I camped overnight at Shumarinai Lake Camping Ground for the first time last September 24 - 25, 2022, during our September 24-25 Road Trip. It was my 327th and 328th day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. It was a challenge for us to look for a flat area near the lake in Site 1 as most of the camping area was sloping a bit. We settled near the washing-up area instead. Regardless, it was less than 100 meters away from the lake hence, I was able to go there early and see the beautiful sunrise.
