Yuni (由仁町) is a town in the Sorachi Subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. The place was once referred to as, "Yunni," from the Ainu language meaning "a place with hot springs." The town is known for agriculture but now the locals are trying to introduce herb gardens to attract tourists.

For those planning to visit the town of Yuni to check what it has to offer, here are the 10 Things to Do in Yuni:

1.  Take a picture of the manhole cover of Yuni. So far, I have seen 1 unique manhole cover. It is commonly seen around the town.

2. Visit the Yuni Shrine (由仁神社). It’s the main shrine of the town of Yuni. You can pay your respects and offer prayers here any time of the day. Don’t forget to avail of the shrine’s goshuin if you collect them.

3. Stroll around and enjoy nature at Crayon Park (クレヨンパーク). You can also bring your pets to enjoy the vast park with you.

4.  Head up Fushimidai Observation Deck (伏見台展望台). Although the observation deck is a simple pavilion, you will still get to see the panoramic view of the town.

5. Dine and enjoy the sumptuous food at Kitchen Farm Yard Yuni (キッチン ファームヤード). The vegetable dishes and the soup curry are a must-try.

6.  Pitch a tent and stay overnight at Yuni Mitinosawa Campsite Laugh Tale (由仁町見立の沢キャンプ場LAUGH TALE). Although the campsite is not that vast compared to most camping areas in Hokkaido, it still guarantees a great camping experience as it is mostly quiet and the camping fee is just 500 yen.

7. Take a satisfying dip at the onsen of Yuni Spa Hotel (ユンニの湯). You may choose the day trip option of staying overnight.
