My family and I visited Chitose Roadside Station for the first time last October 10, 2022, during our “October 8-10” Road Trip. It was my 343rd day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. This roadside station was the last destination during our road trip. We wanted to visit other places but the weather wasn’t on our side. Regardless, we were able to get the roadside station stamp and also take a picture of the Chitose City colored manhole cover installed outside the roadside station.

Aside from that you can see juvenile salmon in March, sea trout and cherry salmon in June, and salmon returning to spawn from late August through winter.
