Japan Diaries 4: Weekend 54
Weekend 54: November 12 – 13, 2022
Day 376: November 12, 2022
Saturday – Rumoi
Brrr! It’s getting very cold here in Rumoi City. We didn’t plan any road trip today because the weather forecast said that it would be rainy the whole afternoon so we just had a lazy day today.Regardless, I spent the morning crafting an itinerary for our winter vacation and also writing articles for my blog. Just after finishing 2 articles, my wife told me that we’d be heading to Teacher Kanda’s place to pick up the futons and electric blankets that she would give us.
Thank you for these Teacher Kanda |
Before going there, we first went to COOP to buy fruits for Teacher Kanda. As expected Teacher Kanda has a lot of things to share. We had such a great time chatting with her that we lost track of time. The next thing that we knew, it was almost 3 PM, thankfully though, it didn’t rain as predicted.
Ella was already in a bad mood when we arrived home because we left her alone at home alone for more than two hours. To make up for it, we headed to the Rumoi City Library which Ella requested. I brought my laptop with me and continued working on my blog articles. We stayed in the library until its closing time.
The last full show for tonight - Scream 2022 |
From there, we went back to COOP for a quick grocery shopping before heading back home. Before calling it a day, we watched the 2022 slasher film Scream which in a way was surprisingly good. Well, that’s it for today, see you tomorrow!
Day 377: November 13, 2022
Sunday – Rumoi
The rain that didn’t pour yesterday all fell today. It rained non-stop the whole day. That’s why we decided to stay home and enjoy each other’s company instead. It's a rainy day in Rumoi City |
Can you guess what's for breakfast/lunch for today? |
It's our own version of burritos! Itadakemasu! |
I was able to write several new articles for my blog and also watched several films with my family like the 2007 action film Shooter and the 2022 mystery/crime film Enola Holmes 2. Both were good action/thriller movies.
Overall, we might not have visited any new places this weekend but we all managed to get enough rest which will fuel us next week. Well, that wraps up our 54th weekend. See you next week!
