My family and I had the opportunity to explore Tomamae Roadside Station for the first time on November 19, 2022, marking my 383rd day in Japan as an ALT under the JET Programme. Unfortunately, during our "Drive Up North" Road Trip last August 2022, we were unable to include it in our itinerary due to its closure for renovations. Therefore, we made a point to visit once it reopened to the public following the completion of the reconstruction works.

Upon our visit, we indulged in the newly renovated onsen and savored the delectable soft cream. I found the outdoor onsen particularly enjoyable, with its serene ambiance and perfectly balanced water temperature. Additionally, my daughter and I made sure to obtain the roadside station stamp to add to our collection.
