I’m happy to see that Hidaka-sensei is healthy and is finally out of quarantine. However, sadly, numerous students got the virus. Classes for sections 1-3, 2-1, 2-3, and 2-4 were all canceled today.

I received a LINE message from Sasaki-sensei informing me that my visit to Embetsu Agricultural High School this coming Thursday is again canceled. This time, it’s because she got the virus. Well, that means I’ll have an extra day at Rumoi High School.

During my free time, I finally finished my Beginner's Course from VLJ. Although I can’t say that I’m already proficient in Japanese, I’d say it helped me improve my knowledge of the language.

When I left school, it was just -7 degrees but according to the weather forecast, it feels like -17 degrees. It’s the first time that I have experienced such a freezing temperature.

Thursday – Embetsu Rumoi

Originally, I was scheduled to visit Embetsu Agricultural High School today, but Sasaki-sensei informed me last Tuesday that she is in quarantine and will cancel my visit. That’s why I’m back at Rumoi High School today.

After classes, my wife messaged me about the result of her pregnancy test and I’m ecstatic to share that we are pregnant! That’s why I was super excited to go home today. However, there was a blizzard when I got out of school. Luckily, Koucho-sensei saw me and offered me a ride home. It’s just blessing after blessing for me.

Overall, this week has been busy, but I was able to achieve some personal goals, and, most importantly, the prayers of my family were heard and answered. Our new prayer is that the pregnancy progresses normally and safely.
